Ok, but not variable adjustable on switch time/sensitivity

I paid aliitle more for this one because it has a slightly bigger window than the cheaper ones…
What I didn’t like about it is that the “Switch time (sec.): 1/25,000 and Adjustable Sensitivity: Yes” is only andjustable with a switch , not a knob, to only high/low…i guess in my research that feature might have been available on the cheaper models, but i would have lost a 1/2″ on view area….so it’s a comprimise…
I did like that they gave me an extra clear shield, and bought from them because i figure it would be able to get parts easier for it than the the cheaper ones (this is a real tool store), and they sent me a nice thick catologe
auto-darking welding helment

i taught high welding 25 years ago and students had a tough time striking an arc and running a bead in the proper place. i recently taught a friend of mine welding using a wire feed welder with flux-core wire. we both used the auto darkening helmet with great results being able to view the puddle and placing the bead in the proper place. this would be a great helmet for farm and home shop users with a low cost.

This is a great welding helmet for anyone looking to purchase an auto-darkening helmet without breaking the bank. The darkening factor and speed are adjustable and adjustment is easy. My only complaint is that the headgear seems to slip when I’m wearing it unless I adjust it very tight. Perhaps I need a welding cap under it but this is the only problem I’ve had. This is the only helmet I own so I can’t compare it to a more expensive model. Still, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

I thought the sun would set it off. I tried at all settings. Why is this important? It’s not.
It works great with my little MIG set up (even though the amperage of my MIG is below the range in the chart found in the instructions). This helmet has MUCH improved my work. Before I was living in the dark. Oh man.

I have not been able to use this product since the welder that I ordered at the same time is not going to ship. The order for the welder has been cancelled and no substitute was offered so I requested that Amazon credit my account for this item and have a call tag issued so I may return it.

I looked at a few helments before purchasing this one, but alot of them were high dollar helments offering the same features. You dont need to be fancy to get the job done! This one offers great features with a price everyone can afford. I also recommend purchasing extra cover lenses at the same time if you are going to use it for everyday welding like i do. I highly recommend it!

For the money you can’t get a much better helmet. I love the way it works and that fact that you need no batteries. The auto darkening lets me see were I’m about to weld and then when the sparks start flying I can see with no problem. This helmet is worth every penny.

This was my first Auto Darkening Helmet so I have nothing to gauge performance by. What I can say is the helmet works very well, I am pleased with its performance. It is comfortable to wear, and weld with providing a good view of the weld, while protecting.

I go to a voc/tech school and we do a lot of welding & metal fabrication. I would always get frustrated because i couldnt start the bead at the edge of the pad. plus i couldnt see what i was doing to begin with. having an auto darken helmet really makes the job easier.
