Great for the DIY or Welder-on-the-Go

As a point of disclosure I did not purchase my welder from Amazon nor this particular seller (Wesco).
At the time of my purchase the Lincoln SP135T-PLUS was the most powerful 110v welder on the market. I would guess that I bought mine in 2004-ish. The unit came complete with the welding unit, gun, spool of wire, ground line and clamp, gas regulator and a cart (I did not sede a cart with this particular unit. Mine was a PLUS hence the cart). The only thing you would need is a bottle of inert gas to get rolling… or some flux core wire.
I had a spool of flux-core wire so the use of inert gas was not needed. I changed the polarity of the machine, installed the spool, added the gun and clamp and was ready to weld.
The unit has a large flap on the side which gives access to the spool and polarity settings. On the flap is a nice guide on voltage settings as well as wire feed speeds for differing types and thicknesses of steel. The chart is very straight forward and east to use.
My first little welding project with this unit was a new driveway gate. This little unit really did shine! There were only a few times where I hit the duty cycle and had to wait a minute for the machine to catch-up.
This is an extremely versatile welder in a relatively light-weight package. This is great for around the house use or maybe doing small construction projects (e.g. the company that built out fence at our new house used a machine like this for all of their work).
One item of note: if you plug this unit into a plug that has a pretty heavy load on the circuit you may be likely to trip the breaker several times. I had this issue in our new house. To solve it I added in a dedicated plug under my electrical panel with a dedicated 20A circuit. This was I get all the power I need without tripping the breaker. Before doing anything like this – please check your local codes and/or consult with a licensed electrician.
